The trial of a Zimbabwean pastor who prophesied that President Robert Mugabe would die in October begins on Thursday in Harare.
Pastor Phillip Mugadza faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
Mugadza spent more than 50 days in police custody after his arrest in January.
He’s now out on bail, but his lawyers say his trial is expected to begin on Thursday at the Harare Magistrates’ Court.
Mugadza is charged with causing offence to a person of a particular race or religion.
That’s over a claim he made that Mugabe would die on 17 October.
Mugadza could face up to a year in jail if convicted of the offence but there should also be the option of paying a fine.
